Bacon and cheese spiral burger by Brenda Kookt

Ingredients
- 500 g minced beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1.5 tsp garlic powder
- 3 tbsp smokey barbecue sauce, plus extra to coat
- 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 100 g Beemster® Extra Belegen, grated
- 9 slices of breakfast bacon
- 9 slices Beemster® Extra Belegen for topping
- 3 hamburger buns
- 60 g iceberg lettuce, sliced
- salt and pepper
- oil for frying and greasing
Prepare
- Mix the minced meat with chopped onion, garlic powder, barbecue sauce, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper and grated Beemster® Extra Belegen.
- Place the bacon slices in front of you 3 in a row and top with a layer of the meatloaf mixture. Roll up the bacon slices until a nice spiral burger is formed.
- Fry the burgers on both sides in a frying pan with oil. After this, spread the spiral burgers with barbecue sauce and heat it for another 12 minutes in the oven at 180 degrees.
- After 10 minutes, top the spiral burgers with slices of Beemster® Extra Belegen and heat in the oven with them for the last few minutes.
- Serve the bacon and cheese spiral burgers on a hamburger bun with iceberg lettuce.
