Boer steak with Beemster cheese potatoes

Ingredients

  • 250 g waxy potatoes
  • ½ yellow bell pepper
  • 5 cherry tomatoes
  • 40 g Beemster Old
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • ½ olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 steak (about 120 g, at room temperature)
  • 1 handful of arugula

Prepare

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 °C. Peel the potatoes and cut into equal 2.5-inch pieces. Bring a pan with a layer of water and salt to a boil. Boil the potatoes for 8 min and drain.
  2. Meanwhile, cut the bell bell pepper into 1-inch pieces and halve the tomatoes. Grate the cheese and mix with the mustard. Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and spread the cheese mixture on top. Place the vegetables next to the potatoes and drizzle with the oil. Bake in the oven for about 8 min.
  3. Meanwhile, heat the butter in a frying pan. Sprinkle the steak with salt and pepper and fry for 5-6 min over medium-high heat. Turn halfway through. Let rest on a plate under aluminum foil for 5 min.
  4. Spoon the potatoes onto a plate and divide the vegetables on top. Serve with the arugula and steak.
