Borrel cheese sandwiches with Beemster Old

Drinks dish. 4 persons. Prepare 30 min.

Ingredients

  • 270 g fresh puff pastry (roll)
  • 135 g Beemster Old, diced
  • 10 g fresh chives
  • 1 egg
  • ½ tsp sesame seeds

Prepare

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Roll out the puff pastry and halve lengthwise until you have 2 long strips. Lay half a tray of bubbly cubes lengthwise in a long row on each strip. Cut the chives small and divide over the cheese cubes.
  2. Fold the dough over the cubes, press the loose sides together well and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper (from the roll of puff pastry). Split the egg, brush the top of the dough with the egg yolk and sprinkle with the sesame seeds.
  3. Bake the cheese rolls in the center of the oven for about 15 min. Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 min. Cut the cheese rolls into 7 pieces of about 4 cm each and serve.
