Bruchetta with bechamel and Beemster® Royaal Grand Cru
Dessert. 4 people. 20 minutes.
Ingredients
- 20 grams of butter
- 25 grams of flour
- 240 ml of milk
- Pinch of nutmeg
- 150 grams of assorted Signature Beemster® cheese such as Extra Aged and Grand Cru, grated
- Few drops of Smokey Tabasco
- Pepper and salt
- About 20 slices of (old) baguette
- Olive Oil

Prepare
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Coat the buns with olive oil and put in the oven for 15 minutes. Remove and let cool while you make the Beemster® Cheesy Bechamel.
- Melt the butter in a pan. Do not let it brown. Then add the flour and cook for a few minutes. Then add the milk and keep stirring to avoid lumps until you have a nice thick sauce. Remove from the heat and add the various cheeses. Stir through the sauce until all the cheese is melted. Season to taste with some nutmeg and Smokey Tabasco.
- Spread a good layer of cheesy béchamel on all the buns and set the oven to grill. Put the buns under there for about five minutes until the sauce starts to bubble.
Serving tip
Serve immediately.
