Caesar sandwich with crispy chicken & Beemster Old

Lunch dish. 4 persons. Prepare 15 min.


  • 2 tbsp. peanut oil
  • 2 breaded chicken schnitzels
  • 8 slices of breakfast bacon
  • 2 vine tomatoes
  • 4 Italian bulbs
  • 100 g romaine lettuce
  • 4 slices Beemster Old 48+
  • 4 tbsp caesar dressing


  1. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the schnitzels according to the package directions until golden brown and cooked.
  2. Meanwhile, heat a frying pan without oil or butter and fry the breakfast bacon on medium-high for about 5 min until golden brown and crispy. Drain on kitchen paper.
  3. Slice the tomatoes. Cut the schnitzels into thin oblique strips. Cut the sandwiches open and top the bottom halves successively with lettuce, cheese, bacon, tomato and chicken. Drizzle with the dressing and cover with the top halves.
