Chorizo kale toast

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of dark brown whole wheat bread
  • 2 slices Beemster Jong Belegen 48+
  • 4 thin slices chorizo pamplona
  • 1 handful of sliced kale
  • ½ tbsp unsalted butter

Prepare

  1. Spread 1 slice of bread successively with 1 slice of cheese, 4 slices of chorizo, a handful of kale and another slice of cheese. Place the second slice of bread on top.
  2. Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat. Spread the outside edges of the sandwich with the butter and fry the sandwich for 6-8 min until golden brown. Flip halfway through. Turn down the heat if the sandwich gets too dark and the cheese has not yet melted.

Preparation tip
Not a fan of kale or not (yet) available? You can also use fresh spinach. Just as tasty with the spicy chorizo!
