Autumnal cheese fondue with Beemster® Signature Pumpkin Spice

Ingredients

  • 250 g Beemster® Signature Pumpkin Spice
  • 100 g Beemster® Signature Grand Cru
  • 50 g unsalted butter
  • 50 g flour
  • 200 ml of bok beer
  • 100 ml whole milk

Kitchen Stuff

  • Pan with thick bottom
  • Wooden spoon
  • A hollowed-out pumpkin or cheese fondue pan

Preparation:

  1. Coarsely grate the cheese. Melt the butter in a thick-bottomed pan and add the flour.
  2. Cook the mixture while stirring for 2 min. At once, add the bock beer and whole milk and bring to a boil while stirring and keep stirring until a thick sauce forms.
  3. Turn the heat to low. Add the cheese all at once and let the cheese melt while stirring with a wooden spoon.
  4. The fondue is ready when all the cheese has melted and the fondue is even.
  5. Put the cheese fondue in a cheese fondue pan and place on a warming rack.

Serving tip
Put the cheese fondue in a hollowed-out pumpkin for a fun fall look. Note: the pumpkin cannot be placed on a warming rack so the cheese will solidify faster.
