Spicy naan pizza with Beemster Young Belegen

  • 50 g piece Beemster Jong Belegen 48+
  • 100 g green asparagus
  • 1 large naan bread
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Few sprigs of cilantro
  • Sriracha hot chili sauce


  1. Preheat the oven to 200 °C. Grate 50 g Beemster Jong Belegen. Remove the woody underside of 100 g green asparagus.
  2. Halve the asparagus lengthwise. Sprinkle 1 large naan bread with the grated cheese and a tsp of garam masala, but leave the edges exposed.
  3. Top the bread lengthwise with the asparagus. Bake in the center of the oven for 10 min or until the cheese is melted. Meanwhile, coarsely chop a few sprigs of cilantro.
  4. Remove the pizza from the oven, drizzle with sriracha hot chili sauce to taste and sprinkle with the cilantro.
