Sandwich Beemster Goat cheese with peppers and capers

Sandwich Beemster Goat cheese with peppers and capers

Lunch dish. 4 persons. Prepare 10 min.

  • 2 tbsp (red-yellow) grilled bell pepper strips
  • 1 tbsp capers
  • 5 slices Beemster goat cheese
  • 8 slices of dark multigrain bread
  • 2 tbsp. cream butter (at room temperature)

  1. Drain the bell pepper strips and capers. Cut 4 slices of cheese in half. Cut the 5th slice into quarters.
  2. Top half of the bread slices with half a slice of cheese, some peppers, capers and the rest of the cheese (half a slice and a quarter slice). Place the other slices on top and spread the outsides with a little butter.
  3. Heat 2 skillets without oil or butter and fry the sandwiches for 3 min over medium-high heat. Turn over and fry another 3-4 min. Turn the heat down a bit if the bread is in danger of getting too dark, but the cheese has not yet melted.
