Beemster savory pie

  • 250 g Beemster Mustard cheese
  • 1.3 kg of tomatoes
  • 400 g dough (mix for savory cake)
  • 2 tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 90 gr fresh basil
  • 12 gr (fresh) chives
  • 220 mayonnaise
  • 1tl worcestershire sauce

  • Baking pan of +- 20 cm diameter


  1. Grate the Beemster Mustard cheese. Slice and salt the tomatoes and drain them for 30-60 min. Make the dough according to the package directions and place in the mold.
  2. Pre-bake the dough at 180°C for 15 min. Let it cool down. Spread the bottom with Dijon mustard and spread half of the fresh basil and chives on top. Then place the sliced tomato slices on top. Mix the mayonnaise with the Worcestershire sauce, grated Beemster Mustard cheese and the remaining basil and chives. Spread the mayonnaise mixture over the tomatoes.
  3. Place the savory tart in the preheated oven (180°C) and bake for 40 - 45 min. until done.
