Ingredients

  • 1 can of croissant dough
  • 200 grams of Beemster Belegen
  • 3 slices of ham
  • 1 egg for spreading
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds
  • 1 tsp sesame seed butter or oil for greasing (optional)

Prepare

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Line a baking tray with baking paper
  2. Roll out the croissant dough. Do not separate the slices and press the seams or holes in the dough. Cut the dough in half and place the two slices side by side. Press so that it is a large rectangular piece.
  3. Top the dough with slices of ham and then with Beemster Belegen. Roll into a nice roll and cut into 4 slices.
  4. Place the ham-cheese rolls on the baking sheet. Brush with beaten egg. Spread grated Beemster Belegen on top and finally sprinkle the rolls with poppy seeds and/or sesame seeds, if desired.
  5. Heat the filled rolls in the oven for 15-20 minutes until cooked and golden brown. After this, serve the ham-cheese rolls immediately.
