Loaded cheesy Beemster® nachos by Susan Aretz
Drinks dish. 4 persons. Preparation 20 min.
Ingredients
- 500 grams of minced meat (vega)
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp chili powder (or a little more if you like spicy)
- ½ tsp salt and pepper
- 1 can of chili beans, drained (collect the liquid)
- 150 grams grated Beemsterr Belegen
- 200 grams of salted nachos
- 1 tomato, in small cubes
- 1 avocado, in small cubes
- 1 red onion, in thin rings
- 1 tbsp. jalapeño peppers (from a jar)
Kitchen Stuff
- Refractory pan
- Oven dish
- BBQ
Prepare
- Heat your barbecue to 175 C (direct) while you prepare the rest of the ingredients. Place a barbecue-proof pan on the grill of your barbecue and let it get warm. In it, fry the minced meat, without oil, until loose and then drain off any excess fat/moisture. Season the minced meat with the spices and add the liquid from the chili beans. Stir everything together.
- In a barbecue-proof dish, put the nachos and spread the minced meat, chili beans and generously grated Beemster® Belegen cheese on top. Put this on the grill of your hot BBQ until all the Beemster® cheese is melted.
- Remove the loaded nachos from the barbecue and garnish with a topping of your choice. Of course, with all toppings is also allowed 😉
Preparation tip
Don't have a barbecue? No problem! Fry the minced meat in a pan on the stove, put the loaded nachos in an oven dish and place in a preheated oven.
