Pizza buns with Beemster Belegen

Drinks dish. 4 persons. Preparation 20 min. + 20 min. oven time


  • 125 g Beemster Belegen 48+
  • 1 can of super croissant dough
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • a few sprigs of fresh Italian herbs

Kitchen Stuff

  • brownie pan (18 x 28 cm, greased)


  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C. Grate the cheese.
  2. Remove the croissant dough from the tin and fold the piece of dough in half across the width. Roll out into a piece measuring about 25 x 35 cm. Brush the dough with the tomato paste. Leave 3 cm of 1 long edge of dough free of sauce. Sprinkle the dough with 100 g of grated cheese. Remove the leaves from the sprigs of herbs and finely chop the leaves. Sprinkle the dough with them.
  3. Roll the dough toward the long edge without sauce. Cut the dough into 8 equal pieces and place the pieces in 2 rows of 4 in the brownie baking pan. Sprinkle with the rest of the grated cheese. Bake the pizza rolls in the center of the oven for 20-25 min until brown and cooked.
