Ingredients

  • 8 white casino sandwiches
  • Butter
  • 4 tablespoons of green pesto
  • 8 sun-dried tomatoes, in pieces
  • 2 teaspoons toasted pine nuts
  • 4 slices Beemster® Royaal

Grill or sandwich iron

Prepare

  1. Spread 4 slices of bread with butter. Turn the slices of bread over, buttered side down. Spread the other side with green pesto and spread sun-dried tomato pieces and pine nuts on top.
  2. Place a slice of Beemster® Royaal on each slice of bread. Then place the remaining slices of bread on top of the cheese and spread the top with butter.
  3. Fry the sandwiches in the grill or the sandwich iron until golden brown and crispy.
  4. After this, cut the sandwiches (the nicest thing for a sandwich is slanted in half) and eat them immediately.
