Beemster® Extra Old wins Super Gold Medal

In early November, the World Cheese Awards were held in Bergen, Norway. During this international cheese inspection, Beemster® Extra Old was awarded a Super Gold medal. This makes this aged cheese one of the best cheeses in the world! A total of no less than 3,500 cheeses from all over the world were judged in the cheese inspection by an international panel of 230 cheese experts from 29 countries.

In addition to the Super Gold award for Beemster® Extra Oud, five other Beemster® cheeses were awarded a gold, silver or bronze medal. A super nice result!

Since 2008, CONO Cheesemakers has participated annually in the WCA cheese inspection. From the first entry in 2008 to the present, our cheeses have received no less than 58 medals, 4 of which are Super Gold medals. These awards show how much the quality of our Beemster® cheeses is appreciated.
