cheese-onion shot bread with Beemster Young

Drinks dish. 4 persons. Prepare 30 min.

Ingredients

  • 3 onions, cut into rings
  • 1 baking baguette
  • 4 tbsp fig dip or fig chutney
  • 150 grams Beemster Jong⠀⠀⠀⠀

Prepare

  1. Preheat the oven (or barbecue) to 180 degrees and line a baking sheet with baking paper.
  2. Cut the onion into thin slices. Heat a frying pan with oil and fry the onion slices in it, on both sides until the onion is nicely soft. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Slice the baguette up to 2/3. Spread the sliced bread with the fig dip. After this, fill each "slice" with a slice of Beemster Grass cheese and a slice of fried onion. Sprinkle the filled bread with grated cheese, you can also use grass cheese for this.
  4. Bake the bubble bread for 15-20 minutes in the oven or on the barbecue.

Preparation tip
Is Beemster Grass cheese in season? Then use this cheese in the cheese-onion bread instead of Beemster Jong.
