Spicy cheese dip with Beemster Extra Old

  • 100 g spinach
  • ½ jalapeño pepper
  • 75 g Beemster Extra Old
  • 100 g cream cheese
  • 100 g marinated artichoke hearts (jar)


  1. Allow the spinach to wilt in a skillet. Meanwhile, chop the jalapeño pepper. Grate the Beemster Extra Old.
  2. Place the spinach, jalapeño, cream cheese and artichoke hearts in a tall mug and puree with a hand blender.
  3. Put the dip in a pan, add the grated cheese and let melt while stirring. Serve the dip hot, lukewarm or cold with tortilla chips, candy cucumbers, radishes, and tomatoes, for example.

Preparation tip
Tortilla triangles are delicious for dipping and very easy to make yourself. Cut tortillas into triangles, drizzle with oil and bake in the oven until crispy.
