Bread with Beemster Belegen

Ingredients

  • 1 whole, uncut ciabatta
  • 4 slices Beemster Belegen
  • 3 sprigs of rosemary

Prepare

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Cut the ciabatta every 3 cm widthwise (not all the way through) and then every 3 cm lengthwise to create a diamond pattern.
  2. Cut the slices of Beemster Belegen lengthwise into strips. Insert the strips of cheese into the notches in the bread. Pick the needles of the rosemary and insert them here and there in the indentations.
  3. Bake the bread about 15 min. in the center of the oven until the cheese is melted.
  4. Serve the bread, for example, in combination with a borrelplank.
